Create User in Nexus Repository Manager

In order to manipulate the repositories created by the Nexus Repository Manager, we need to have a user with certain permissions. So how to create a new User in Nexus Repository Manager, let’s find out in this tutorial.

First, you need to log into the admin account and navigate to the “Server administrator and configuration” section:

In the left menu, click on the “Users” menu item.

Similar to Roles, as you can see, here we have two users created as admin and anonymous. You can easily guess the role of each user right? Now we will try to create a new user.

Similar to Roles, we can create a new User within the Nexus Repository Manager or use an external system to manage the User. Nexus Repository Manager now supports LDAP. In this example, I will create a new User inside your Nexus Repository Manager.

Please click “Create local user” button to start creating new user!

All the information here is mandatory information! At the bottom of the page, you will see the Role selection for the User that you are creating.

Please select the Role to suit your needs.

Once you have completed all the information, click the “Create local user” button at the bottom to complete the new User Creation in the Nexus Repository Manager.
